BOMA Cal is an association of associations. Its members include each of California’s eight metropolitan BOMAs: BOMA of Greater Los Angeles, BOMA of Inland Empire, BOMA of Orange County, BOMA of Sacramento, BOMA of Oakland/EastBay, BOMA of San Diego, BOMA of San Francisco, BOMA of Silicon Valley
Each metropolitan association nominates three of its individual members to represent that association on the BOMA Cal Board of Directors. In turn, the BOMA Cal Board elects four of its members to comprise the state association's Executive committee. Therefore, every BOMA member in California has a voice in the setting of policies of BOMA Cal vis-à-vis their local association representation on the state association's governing board.

BOMA Oakland/East Bay has provided support and information to the commercial real estate industry in Alameda, Contra Costa, and Southern Solano counties since 1924. BOMA Silicon Valley (formerly BOMA San Jose) has served the commercial real estate industry for over 22 years. Founded in 1983, BOMA Silicon Valley today represents well over 75 million square feet of commercial real estate located in the Silicon Valley. The Association is dedicated to professional, ethical property management and provides its members with legislative advocacy, industry information, educational opportunities including the RPA, FMA, SMA and SMT designations, and a forum for networking with their peers. BOMA Silicon Valley fosters open communication between the association and its members, and those who are having an effect on the industry, both professionally and legislatively.
