Able Engineering Services

Green/LEED Engineering

Part of being a responsible member of the business community is being a responsible member of the world community and protecting the environment. Able Engineering Services has embraced "Green engineering practices" and recognizes that supporting and promoting environmental stewardship is a necessity.

The most widely known organization for Green engineering practices is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). LEED recognizes, supports and promotes green buildings through a comprehensive system offering project certification, professional accreditation, training and practical resources.

The LEED rating system for existing buildings was created to address:

  • Whole-building engineering issues including chemical use
  • Ongoing indoor air quality
  • Energy and water efficiency
  • Recycling programs and facilities
  • Exterior maintenance programs
  • System upgrades to meet green building energy, water, IAQ, and lighting performance standards.

Able Engineering Services is concerned about the future of our planet and the impact on the environment by the resources the cleaning industry uses on a daily basis. Able is committed to being an environmentally sound and conscious business.

The challenge of implementing an effective green engineering practices approach is that of assimilating it into the current engineering operation. Once that decision is made and the program is instituted the following benefits are achieved:

  • Worker productivity increases
  • Employers achieve significant gains in improved employee health, performance, and attendance
  • Community support and recognition
