Web Based PM and Work Order Program
AES offers a one-hundred percent (100%) web based work order program called Web Works for our client's facilities. This program can include both scheduled work orders (preventive maintenance) and reactive work orders. As such, each chief engineer and client will have the ability to track the progress of preventive maintenance work orders as well as reactive work orders by simply going on to the World Wide Web without having to install any software.
Key features of the program include the following:
- Manage customer requests for service
- Develop detailed work plans and maintenance objectives
- Design hierarchal location and asset structures
- Track the movement of assets and life-cycles
- Manage labor and contractor work
- Track and maintain inventory and storerooms
- Manage inventory requests and vendor performance
- Purchase and receive inventory and non-inventory items
- Report and analyze all aspects of the work performed
- Allow users to see only the data that is pertinent to them
- Search for all related data no matter what module you're in
- Notify others via email should a status change affect decision making
Once basic equipment data is collected at the site level, the information is entered into the system at AES main office. To help ensure that the data being entered into the system is consistent throughout the operation, Web Works uses drop down menus and straightforward look-up tables. The system then automatically generates and completes a detailed preventive maintenance program for distribution to the work site.
Additionally, Web Work's "query-by-example" provides the user with the ability to retrieve information based on any criteria entered into the main screens or windows. The user simply enters as much or as little information that is known about the record to be reviewed and the Web Works system will retrieve all matching records from the database. The program is fluid in that existing work orders can be modified, new pieces of equipment added, or maintenance schedules easily changed. Web Works also provides a detailed history of maintenance activities for each piece of equipment included in the database. This type of information can prove to be a valuable historical record as equipment ages.
